CURRENT RESPONSIBILITY
As Director and Portfolio Manager for Milliman FRM’s Fund Services business line, Maria serves as portfolio manager for a number of funds implementing the Milliman Managed Risk Strategy™. In her current role, she works closely with the Portfolio Management Research group, the Trading Technology and Capital Markets groups, and Legal & Compliance, to design and customize portfolio strategies and implementations to the unique needs of each client. Maria is also responsible for ensuring an accurate and efficient execution of her funds’ strategies in the market. Furthermore, she supports her clients by engaging them in ongoing dialogue regarding the funds’ positioning, attribution of results, and strategy planning. Through thoughtful and effective communication, Maria strives to ensure that we provide highly transparent, efficient, and reliable services to our clients.

EXPERIENCE
Maria also has several years of experience leading model validation efforts for the Portfolio Management Group. This work involves detailed replication of model calculations and auditing of system data flows from end to end, which she credits for her deep knowledge and understanding of our investment strategies. Maria has also gained considerable experience collaborating with Capital Markets colleagues in working with ETF providers and market makers to implement sizable ETF trades in the most efficient manner possible. Her earlier work with the Portfolio Management Group focused on increasing the efficiency of our repeated tasks through automation, and facilitating validation of results.
