Assessing the Business Drivers for the Banking & Finance Industry

The hugely successful 2018 & 2017 edition themed round Financial Inclusion agenda and held in Nigeria & Ghana, respectively, wrapped up with a resounding agreement among participants that Africa is on a growth trajectory but still remains a high risk - high return proposition. The large unbanked or financially excluded population, (up to 78% in some countries), the growing middle class consumers, infrastructure development needs and the growing external interest on Africa are some of the factors posing both opportunities and challenges for the banking & finance industry in Africa.

The 2019 conference has an all-encompassing theme “Assessing the Business Drivers for the Banking & Finance Industry” informed by the industry and from past editions.  The 2019 agenda will  include a broad range of  case studies, discussions and debates by top speakers from across Africa and from around the globe bringing theoretical and practical experiences on business drivers for the sector.

As standard with the previous edition of this event, ABFC 2019 will be a catalyst for debate, best practice, knowledge exchange and partnerships among the practitioners, policy-makers and other stakeholders seeking to tap into the industry growth trajectory.
