Andreas Berger held leadership positions at The Boston Consulting Group and Gerling Insurance before he joined the Allianz Group in 2007 in Germany, Brazil and South Africa.

At the creation of Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS) he took over the new position of Global Head of Market Management & Communication. In this position, he established the function of market management for the corporate client segment in Allianz Group and was the spokesperson for AGCS.

Andreas spear-headed the broker distribution management for the Allianz group. In July 2009, Andreas was appointed as AGCS Chief Executive Officer, Regional Unit London. His responsibilities included UK, Ireland, South Africa, Middle East, Benelux.

On July 1, 2011 Andreas joined the AGCS Board of Management as Chief Regions & Markets Officer (Central & Eastern Europe, Mediterranean, Africa and Asia). In addition to his board role he took over the position as Regional CEO Central & Eastern Europe as from 2017 onwards.
